Build-a-Word: Trigraphs

Reading consultant Dr. Antonio Fierro of El Paso, Texas, uses the build-a-word teaching strategy to break down the word hatch into its three phonemes: /h/, / ă/, /ch/. He explains that 'tch' is a trigraph, meaning three letters come together to make one sound.
