Permission To Use Reading Universe Content

Reading Universe is a copyrighted service of WETA, the flagship public broadcasting station in Washington, D.C.  

2. Authorized use of our content

You are welcome to print copies of our articles or other content for personal use, and you may also download one copy on any single computer for your personal, non-commercial home use only, provided you keep intact all copyright and other proprietary notices. Individual teachers are also welcome to print out multiple copies of our downloadables (without modification) for use with your students in your classroom. 

Material from our website may not be sold or used commercially, without the express written permission of WETA/Reading Universe.  

3. Other use of our content

In addition to the "authorized use" described in Section 2, we also welcome requests from individual teachers, schools, school districts and universities to use content that appears on Reading Universe. You may request permission to use any other content from Reading Universe by emailing us: info@readinguniverse.org. Please note that beyond the "authorized use" described in Section 2, any use of our content WITHOUT THE PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT OF WETA, is a violation of WETA's copyright and other proprietary rights. The use of our content on any other website or networked computer environment is prohibited, without the prior written consent of WETA. Modification of our materials or the use of the materials without credit to WETA and the author (if identified) of any specific piece of content, is prohibited without prior written consent from WETA.


All trademarks, service marks, and trade names of Reading Universe and WETA are proprietary to the Greater Washington Educational Telecommunications Association, Inc., the licensee of WETA.
