Educator Spotlight: Get to Know Bettina
Bettina Hilliard is a member of our founding educator cadre and an ESOL assessment teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools. She has taught reading to English learners in Alexandria, Virginia, for 9 years and is now working in language assessment to place English learners appropriately. Bettina has a master's in teaching ESOL from George Mason University and a master's in teaching reading from the University of Virginia. She is passionate about removing barriers for students to help them succeed. In her spare time, Bettina loves to knit and read.
